As part of Durham Brass Festival, Spennymoor Town Band are taking part in a project called Connections. Connections takes the form of a map based on the pre-Beeching railway network to present a snapshot of the brass band movement in County Durham as it is today in the 21st century. The etched map, made of brass plate to recall the heritage of the county, replaces railway stations with QR codes that when scanned with a smartphone direct you to digital media content of twenty-two bands rehearsing in rooms across County Durham.

Here is the video of us playing Our Town, by Alan Fernie, in our bandroom.
