Open Day in Durham

Categories:

On Sunday 3rd July, we held an open day in the centre of Durham for members of the public.

For several hours, Spennymoor Town Band took over the Brass Festival shop in Prince Bishop's shopping centre, inviting people in off the streets to see what brass is all about and have a blow on an instrument to try and hit all the right notes.

During the day, we also rehearsed music that is part of the upcoming Xarxa Street Theatre performance, before braving the sunshine outside to perform a few pieces for the public. We also appeared on the Tyne Tees local news that evening!

Many thanks to all of those who dropped by during our time in Durham, and for the Brass Festival organisers for letting us use the space.
