Contesting Success at Peterlee

Spennymoor Town Band takes third place.

Under the direction of Neil Davies, we recently competed in the Durham County Brass Band Association Festival of Brass, held at East Durham College, Petrelee.

From a total entry of 13 bands from the County Durham area, we were placed third in our section. We were awarded the Ramsden Family Shield and £100.

We were pleased with our performance and the adjudicator praised our playing for its musicality. We are particulary proud of our two newest members, Harry (10) and James (13) as this was their first ever contest.
