It was a privilege for Spennymoor Town Band (Gareth Sykes )to play a part in the annual Drumhead Service in the presence the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Maura Regan representing the Queen and the Town Major Elizabeth Wood, the service was preceded by the unveiling of a bench in memory of Spennymoor community stalwart Arnold Sanderson. The band are immensely proud of our cornetist Harry Pears, who preformed Last Post and Reveille twice this morning.
